If you are having problems playing a DVD, please follow the steps below to attempt recovery.
Carefully turn the disc over and inspect the mirror side. It should be clean, no scratches, no filmy fingerprints, etc. Any of those can cause the disc to become unreadable. If it is not clean, blow on it to remove dust, then use a little water and a clean sponge and very gently go over the surface wet first, and then again with a dry cloth or kleenex.
